8. The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs held an enlightening meeting for the heads of diplomatic missions and directors of United Nations agencies in Port Sudan, and refuted with tangible evidence the false allegations raised by the UAE about bombing the headquarters of its ambassador in Sudan, stressing Sudan’s respect for international laws and the Vienna Convention on International Relations of 1961/1963, and its sponsorship of all international missions and agencies. His Excellency also held a joint press conference with the Minister of Culture and Information, which addressed the same topic.
9. The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs received a message of solidarity and support from his Egyptian counterpart, in which he affirmed Egypt’s support for Sudan and its people and the preservation of all its institutions until it overcomes the current crisis.
10.The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs held a meeting with the Egyptian Ambassador to Sudan, and discussed with him the course of bilateral relations between the two countries and the activation of all existing mechanisms of bilateral cooperation and coordination in regional and international forums, in addition to some consular issues.
11. The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Bishop Sarabamon Halim Salam, Bishop of the Coptic Church, and reviewed with him the developments in Sudan. His Excellency was reassured about the situation of Christians in Sudan and the coordination between the church and the ministry to confront the war waged by the rebel militia against all Sudanese Muslims and Christians.
12. The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Indonesian Ambassador to Sudan and expressed Sudan’s appreciation for Indonesia’s supportive positions towards Sudan and its provision of humanitarian aid to those affected by the war. He handed him a written letter of thanks to his Indonesian counterpart.
13. The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Russian Ambassador to Sudan and discussed the progress of bilateral relations between the two countries and coordination in international forums.
14. The Acting Federal Minister of Health participated in the meetings of the World Health Organization, meeting No. (71) in Qatar. On the sidelines of the visit, he also met with the Minister of International Cooperation, Ms. Lulwa Al-Khater, and thanked the State of Qatar for its position for Sudan in supporting the health sector.
15. The Federal Ministry of Health and the Saudi Embassy in Sudan launched general surgery and thyroid surgery at Bawarith Military Hospital by a Saudi medical team. The Ministry appreciated the Saudi support provided to the health sector in the country.
16. The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting with the Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs in New York. And briefed him an update on the latest developments in Sudan and the victories achieved by the armed forces over the rebel militia, stressing Sudan’s readiness to participate in any negotiations provided that the militia is fully committed to the terms of the Jeddah Agreement.
17. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received the credentials of the new Regional Director of the World Food Program in Sudan and reviewed with him the developments in the country and the humanitarian effects resulting from the war and the need for the program and all organizations working in the field of humanitarian work to move to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by the war waged by the rebel militia after opening the crossings, including the Adre crossing.
18. The Acting Minister of Interior met, on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the Executive Committee of the High Commissioner’s Programme of Action, at the United Nations Palace in Geneva, with the Assistant Secretary for Population, Refugees and Migration at the US State Department. The Minister expressed the Sudanese government’s thanks and appreciation to the US government, welcoming the further humanitarian support declared by the United States for those affected in Sudan.
19. The Acting Minister of Interior met, on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the Executive Committee of the High Commissioner’s Programme of Action, at the United Nations Palace in Geneva, with the Norwegian Deputy Minister of International Development. His Excellency expressed the Sudanese government’s thanks and appreciation to the Norwegian government for the support it has continued to provide to the Sudanese people in response to the current humanitarian crisis due to the rebellion.
20. The Acting Minister of Irrigation and Water Resources met with his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo. The two ministers discussed a number of issues related to the Nile waters in a manner that preserves the rights and interests of the two countries.
21. The Director General of the Police Forces visited the city of Rabak in White Nile State at the head of a high-level delegation and was received by the State Governor. His Excellency reviewed the overall security and criminal conditions in the state and participated in the state security committee meeting.
22. The Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health met with the Indonesian Ambassador to Sudan. The meeting discussed common health projects and Indonesian health support. He thanked the government and people of Indonesia for providing the third batch of medical aid to Sudan. The Ambassador stressed that the support is within the framework of relations between the two brotherly countries, hoping for an improvement in the situation in Sudan.
