1. His Excellency the president of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Djibouti and received a written message from His Excellency the President of Djibouti regarding bilateral relations between the two countries and the possibility of Sudan’s return to the IGAD organization. The meeting addressed the negative positions of IGAD towards what is happening in Sudan, and His Excellency explained the importance of separating Sudan’s relationship with Djibouti from its relationship with the IGAD organization.
2. His Excellency the president of the Sovereignty Council met with the Representative of the Berti Tribe and informed His Excellency the atrocities of the terrorist militia in the areas of Al-Siyah and East Mellit in North Darfur State. His Excellency also met with the Nazir of the Barqad Tribe and praised the role of the civil community in promoting peaceful coexistence, and rejecting tribal differences.
Second: Sovereign Council Members Activity:
3. Mr. Malik Agar Air, Vice President of the Sovereignty Council, met with a delegation from the Government of South Sudan headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum. The meeting discussed preparations for pumping South Sudan crude oil. The two parties discussed arrangements for resuming pumping through the pipeline after the rebel militias’ attacks on it.
4. General Shams El Din Kabashi, visited the Eastern Region Command and received a briefing on the progress of operations taking place in the region. His Excellency praised the sacrifices and steadfastness of the armed forces and other regular forces.
5. General Ibrahim Jaber, met with a delegation from the Supreme Committee for Popular Resistance. His Excellency called for establishing new concepts for popular resistance related to devotion and dedication to the homeland and its security and confronting the danger of the rebel militias and their supporters.
6. General Ibrahim Jaber, met with the Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization and congratulated the employees of the organization on the occasion of World Standards Day, praising the role it plays in protecting the consumer and the national economy, controlling imports and local production, and promoting exports.
7. General Ibrahim Jaber, met with the President of the General Football Association, and His Excellency received a briefing on the performance of the Association, its arrangements and activities for the national teams. His Excellency praised the performance of the national team and its victories during the qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
